The advice given in these pages is very general and needs a full discussion to be had with your doctor about your exact circumstances.

Be proactive and ask your doctor, and/or nurse lots of questions.

Advice for all patients:

• Try to take a support person to all your your medical appointments.
• Prepare questions and write them down beforehand.
• Ask the doctor to write the answers down (in his best writing) so you can look at them later.
